Quaccess Features

This free software downloads historical EOD (end-of-day) data and intraday snapshot quotes from Yahoo!Finance.

  • Stores price open, high, low, close, volume and some key statistics
  • Stores dividend payment history.
  • Calculates some more statistics.
  • Stores data in standard Microsoft Access MDB tables (no encryption).
  • Automatic filling of holiday gaps.
  • Ticker symbols of stocks can be imported from text files or manually entered into groups. There is no limit in the number of user defined ticker groups and there is no limit in the number of tickers per group. One and the same ticker symbol in several groups is possible. During download the data of this ticker is downloaded only once.
  • Maintains 30 predefined ticker groups via NASDAQ™ and Yahoo!Finance™.
  • For flexible download management, groups can be arranged in a tree-like structure and activated / deactivated as needed..
  • Presents all tickers and key statistics in one big datatable
  • A basic chart is displayed for the current ticker selected. (bars or candles)
  • Tickers in datatable can be sorted or grouped by all key statistics.
  • Easy search for tickers or company names.
  • Data inspector / editor
  • Update in batch mode possible. (add parameter "update")
  • Static data adapter interface for Wealth-Lab™ 3 & 4 available.
  • ActiveX DLL makes the latest price data and key statistics available to Excel™, Wealth-Lab (or any other program that can embed ActiveX objects). This DLL and instructions on how to use it, are included in the Quaccess setup.
  • Quaccess stores the "Adjusted Close" as provided by Yahoo! but does not detect stock splits or dividend adjustments. In case of such events, it is up to the user to delete all (now invalid) history data of the stocks concerned and thus enforce a history data reload.
